We are a Campus Chapter of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit organization that aims to eliminate poverty housing worldwide. We welcome everyone to join the cause. Our Chapter works with the affiliate Habitat for Humanity San Fernando Valley/Santa Clarita branch in building homes, along with community outreach activities and events. Course of action Habitat endeavors is that of a “Hand-up not Hand-out” in supporting working families to build decent and affordable housing. We hope to increase awareness in the community on the issue of unacceptable housing conditions and ways to get the community involved in the aim for decent and affordable housing. Our Habitat projects also have an emphasis in constructing sustainable communities by building green.
The four functions of Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapters are:
1. Building
2. Fundraising
3. Advocating
4. Educating
We welcome CSUN students, alumni, faculty, staff, clubs, organizations/ community members and people everywhere to join our group for the Habitat for Humanity Cause!
